Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

December has arrived with a flurry of snow, and all of Milwaukee County is under a blizzard warning. Marquette is CLOSED. The Blue & Gold Luncheon for the Classic has been CANCELLED.

Currently, the games tonight are scheduled to be played. The snow should be ending between 1-3pm, and the roads should be plowed by then. That doesn't mean the roads will be cleared, of course, since there are dozens, if not hundreds, of accidents on the system today.

Ah, brings back memories. Remember back in 1987 when Marquette was snowed out on Finals Week? Easily the sweetest memory of Freshman year.

  1. Mother Nature was exceptionally kind during finals week in December, 1987.

  2. I have already seen a guy have to push a car out of the gutter on Wells street. Oh and the little sidewalk plow thing has started plowing, which means there's at least an inch of salt on the sidewalks now.

Happy December, wow. They must have cancelled classes/exams during that finals week in 1987? What happened?

    Go Marquette! Good luck tonight!

  8. Wasn't cancelled, but I remember walking through a blizzard for a Final in May of 1990. Seriously. I could a baseball practice back in my hometown in Western WI later that afternoon. Interesting day.
