I think the BoT made a mistake, they forgot to include "Solid" and "Dancers" from the new nickname. Thus Marquette could be the "Solid Gold Dancers".
ReplyDeleteSince I'm on the subject, I thought of a few more ideas that the BoT could have voted for;
Not everyone knows that MU is the leading collector of J. R. R. Tolkiens original manuscripts. MU should have shamelessly capitalized on the success of the recent films to be known as Marquette University;
Lords of the Ring
The Gollums
The Precious
White Wizards
Treants
Rohirrim
The Mister Frodo's
And...
The Hobbits!
