Dominic James: Big East player of the week

For the second consecutive week, Dominic James has been named the Big East conference player of the week.

Congrats, Dominic!

CNNSI's Cory McCartney took note of DJ's fine play this week -- and penned a Quick Hit on Milwaukee's Honor Guards.
The Golden Eagles' trio of sophomore guards is a pick-your-poison combination of brains (Wesley Matthews), brawn (Jerel McNeal) and a playmaker (James) -- a mix that forms one of the most talented backcourts in the country.

"We all bring something new to the table," James said. "You can put your best defender on one of us, but then you got other guards that can practically do the same thing. It's hard to find three defenders that can matchup with all of us when we're on the court."

  1. Has anyone else noticed that Robert Jackson was on MU's bench for the UCONN and Pitt games?

    Any story there?

  2. How is it possible that the ESPN poll moved Duke from 17th to 10th after they had beaten the 2 worst team in their conference, while MU only makes it to #20 after the phenomenal run of road wins at Pitt, Conn and Louisville???

  3. that is a good question....let's ask a noted basketball expert.

BABEEEE! DUKE IS AWESOME WITH A CAPITAL A!!! DIPPSY DOO DUNKEROO COACH K DOES IT THE RIGHT WAY BABEEE! AND YOU KNOW WHERE HE LEARNED IT?

    (tone of reverence)

The General Robert Montgomery Knight, who has been treated so unfairly by the media....

BECAUSE HE DOES THINGS THE RIGHT WAY BABEE JUST LIKE DUKE.

I think the point is- these people voting have their head up their ass. MU's current road/neutral record of 6-1 will carry more weight than what any screaming retards have to say.

  4. the Duke bias is a bunch of BS, but its not like it hurts us. We beat Duke, the better they are ranked come tournament time, the better that win becomes. We can't be too upset at the polls, we jumped 9 spots in the AP and being ranked 20th the week after being not ranked at all is nothing to get up in arms about.

  5. As new Oakland Raiders head coach, Lane Kiffin, will soon be hearing all too often, "Just Win Baby!" If we take care of business and beat Seton Hall... win at South Florida... beat Providence... beat Rutgers, the rankings will follow suit. Just Win Baby!
