Dominic James declares for NBA draft

.......and he will not hire an agent. No surprise. As we reported on April 7th, this was the rumor all along.

The university put out an official press release this afternoon.

You can listen to the Press Conference from the Journal Sentinel site here.

Good luck to Dom. Personally, I don't think he's ready but what do I know. There aren't many pg's in the draft this year so you never know. Then again, maybe teams will hold off on pg's altogether since better onces will be there next year.

I still wonder about the decision making skills of these kids. Say James stays in school. He'll no doubt get better and improve his chances of getting drafted higher, meaning millions more. He goes this year and is a late 1st rounder. That's nothing to sneeze at as far as money goes, but it's a big difference between being drafted 29th to being drafted 15th.

I think he'll be back. Either way, it doesn't hurt MU (other than the fact they may miss their starting pg next year). I mean that from a recruitment standpoint.
