Eagles top Eagles

Marquette stomped on FGCU last night 67-37 to improve to 22-7 on the season. Lazar Hayward led MU with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

In their final home game, the MU seniors:

  • Barro: 7 points, 8 boards in 22 minutes
  • Fitzgerald: 3 points, 3 boards in 21 minutes
  • Blackledge: 4 points, 3 rebounds in 8 minutes
  • Brice: 2 minutes and a pack of donuts

MU resumes the season on Saturday with a visit to the Carrier Dome.

The bounced back nice but still need to hit more free throws.

It was a shame that they couldn't work in Brice sooner so that he could get off a shot. They needed to leave in James or Acker to feed him as Christopherson could barely get the ball past half court.

Christopherson could do nothing last night and he never even looked to pass the ball to Brice. That was really sad to see. Felt bad for Tommy. Also, anytime Christopherson touches the ball in a half court set, everyone starts yelling "Shoooot!". That's going to get really annoying the next three years.
