Come back in from that ledge, my friend

.......at least that's one way to look at the reassuring Rosiak report concerning Erik Williams and Chris Otule:

Erik Williams, a fast-rising junior from Cypress Springs (Tex.) High School told me this afternoon that he remains committed to MU...........Williams also said that he keeps in contact with Chris Otule, one of three remaining signees for next season, and Otule told him he will also honor his commitment to MU.

Good day today! Looks like Buzz made a believer out of these two Texans. 2009 recruitubg is not lost after all guys. We'll probably end up with a top class when we get the kid from Racine.

No reason we don't compete in BE and win two games in tourney next year. Just need to find a tall Juco or two soon.

Kudos to Buzz for securing Williams. Although, to assume that Jamil Wilson is somehow in the bag is friggin ludicrous. Let's see how this plays out. Obviously, every MU fan is hopeful that we'll land Jamil. Time will tell.

At least MU is/was on the horizon of a number of top 100 recruits. If Buzz and his staff can make inroads on the East coast post-Hurley fall out, that would be very helpful.

But I'll give Buzz props for keeping Williams and ensuring Otule is coming. That's a start.

Good... I'm glad we locked ourselves into 6 years of mediocrity to retain a 3-star recruit... I don't know if it'd been worth it even if we'd kept Taylor and N. Williams (here's an idea, why didn't we talk to them before hand, see what kind of coach they might be comfortable with, and go after him - he couldn't possibly have been less experienced than Buzz - who knows, maybe Seth Greenberg hates the Virginia countryside...)

I wonder if the "financial details" of Buzz's contract haven't been disclosed because we are paying him peanuts, or because we shot ourselves in the foot by having a buyout clause that will make it impossible to get rid of him after we start going 3-15 in the BE... my guess is that it's the latter.

I hope I'm proved wrong, but boy-howdy I sure am proud of our Brain trust...

How in the world did you go with that title and pass up the obvious Third Eye Blind reference??

(Sorry, but every post needs at least one stupid comment.)
