Recruiting Update: Stemler the All-American; Love considering Dayton?

Marquette recruit Lance Stemler (pictured) was selected as a first-team All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association. Congratulations to Lance. Per the Belleville-News Democrat, Stemler is being recruited by Nebraska, Marquette, SLU, and George Washington -- and will make a decision early next month.

Meanwhile, thanks to the 'virtual RFID' known as Sitemeter, it seems that the University of Dayton might be in the mix for JUCO power forward Josh Love. Posts on the UD message board indicate that the Flyers are involved with Love. There has not been much buzz lately about Love's recruiting - -and the Flyers were not one of the teams mentioned when his name first surfaced in MU circles last month. That said, academics might an issue with Love.

How are those four teams ranked in terms of preference "by/according to Stemler"?

Curious as to see where MU sits...

any word on Jeffry Jordan out of Loyola Academy in Chicago? rumor has it he's interested in MU.

not sure......it seems like SLU has been in on Stemler the longest, and apparently his girlfriend lives in that area.

Should be an interesting couple of weeks

I know this has absolutely nothing to do with this or the last couple of articles, but does anyone know where Ryan Amoroso is transfering when he leaves Marquette?

It's likely down to MU and SLU. SLU has the girlfriend/close to home advantage. MU has the "you can take over for Novak" and conference advantage.

Just a gut feeling but I believe it will be MU.

we've not heard anything on Amoroso.....I doubt we will until he successfully completes his academic work this semester.

As for Stemler...these next few weeks will be interesting. Folks on the IU premium board are buzzing about him as a possible fit in Bloomington too
